Honors Internship Program

The Anchorage Division is accepting applications for the Honors Internship Program at FBI Headquarters in Washington D.C. This is a highly selective and competitive program. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to apply:

1. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university located in the state of Alaska. Alaska residents attending schools located outside of Alaska must apply to the field office with jurisdiction closest to the location of the college or university they are attending.

2. Undergraduate students must be between their Junior and Senior year upon beginning the internship. Due to the time required to complete processing, applicants must apply the year before they are eligible to participate.

3. Graduate students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and attending full time.

4. Students must be returning to their campus full-time for at least one semester upon completion of the internship.

5. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

6. All applicants must be U.S.Citizens.

Application requirements are as follows:

1. Preliminary Application (Federal Form FD646a)

2.  FD-804 Applicant Background Survey

3.  FD-956 School Certification Form

4.  Program Term Acknowledgment Form.  Students should complete and sign the Program Acknowledgment form.  FBI personnel will witness and sign the form if the student is selected for the internship position.

5. Personal resume outlining educational background, work experience, and awards/achievements

6. Recent photograph, 2"x2".

7. Written recommendation from appropriate dean or department head.

8. A 500-word essay expressing your interest in the program.

COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 10.

Applications that are incomplete will not be considered.
