The Alaska JTTF is comprised of the FBI and 14 core agencies, which conduct counterterrorism investigations and intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination throughout Alaska, prepare for special events management, and conduct crisis management. The expanded JTTF consists of 45 law enforcement, intelligence, military and private security agencies which meet monthly to receive training, disseminate intelligence and conduct contingency planning. The JTTF has conducted investigations resulting in the seizure of weapons and hazardous materials, arrested subjects for making bomb threats and possession of hazardous materials and weapons, and responded to Weapons of Mass Destruction threats and reports of suspicious activities at critical locations.
